FAQ's

Can I bring my own containers to your store?
Of course! We encourage it! All we ask is if you bring a container to our store, is to weigh it off first so you don't pay for the weight of the container. We do that for you at our Markets. You can top up an already half full container too, as long as you weigh it off first.

All containers welcome. Tupperware, old bread bags (great for pasta), jars, pots, canvas bags - anything sealable or with a lid will be fine.

Covid-19 update:
We ask that your containers are CLEAN, EMPTY & DRY before bringing them in-store.
Do I have to buy a certain amount of product?
No! You can buy as little or as much as you like. If you feel the need to, you can buy a single grain of rice if you wish! Or a teaspoon of sugar. Shopping this way means you can try a little bit first before buying any larger quantities.
Are your products organic?
Most of our products are Organic. We label each product that is and strive to find alternatives when we can if a product isn't organic.
Are your chocolate vanoffee cashews really that good?
We'll let you decide that one! Pop in and try one before buying - as long as Mr Eco Pantry hasn't eaten them all before you visit!
can i park near your shop?
Yes! There is plenty of parking at Chat Farm. You can park right outside our store, or a little further down towards the fields past the main barn. It's free to park too, so no need to bring those pennies!
DO I really need to book a time slot in the weeK?
As we only have one member of staff in store during the week, we've introduced the time slot service to avoid queues. You can still turn up during the week on a whim, but those who have booked a slot will take priority.

We hope to turn back to 'normality' as soon as the government deems it safe.

We've introduced lots of measures for yours and our safety.
DO you take Card payments?
Yes we do. We also accept Apple Pay, all major credit and debit cards and ye old cash! No Amex, unfortunately.
What precautions are you making during this pandemic?
Even before Covid-19, our number one priority was hygiene and Customer safety. However, in these trying times, we are allowing 1 Customer at a time in-store.  We sanitise the table, scales & card machine after every Customer. We are currently no-longer a self-service store, so staff will do all your filling for you.
Can you come to my village PLease?
At the moment, our store in Seal Chart takes up all of our time. But who knows, in the future we may like to expand further afield! :)
Is your store wheelchair and pushchair accessible?
It sure is! We've kept our shelves and units far enough apart for easy access for all. The entrance to the shop is ground level too. Our wall-mounted containers may be too high for some, but both Karen and Callum are more than happy to help, if needed. We love lending a hand.
Do i refill everything myself?
Sadly, whilst we're in these strange times, we are no-longer a self-service shop. We will serve you once you're in store. This allows us to make sure all surfaces are sanitised and safe to use to avoid contamination.

The following (more fun way!) will resume once Covid-19 blows over:

We do encourage our Customers to refill everything themselves - it's fun! It's like a sweet shop for adults. One of us is always floating around if you need help or advice. We just ask our customers to take care when refilling to avoid spillage and cross-contamination.
You sell Gluten free products. Are they certified gluten free?
We do sell gluten free products. However, due to the nature of our store, we cannot guarantee these products are 100% gluten free because we sell many gluten-containing products loose. We supply scoops clearly labelled gluten free for use on those products, and when we refill we take every step necessary to avoid cross contamination.

If you are Celiac, we suggest you shop with us at your own risk. Ask us for more details if needed.
I have a nut allergy, can i visit your store?
Due to the nature of our store, we recommend you do not shop with us in-store. Our Market store is more suited to nut allergies because they are outside, and all our nut products are in sealed containers handled by us.
Please ask us if you have any questions.
Can i fill up my existing bottle of shampoo/washing up liquid in your store?
Of course! We encourage it!

However, in our current situation we request that every bottle is thoroughly clean before bringing it into our store.

If you have a perfectly fine plastic bottle, all we ask is for you to rinse it out first before filling up with our products.
We recommend putting the same type of product in the bottle to avoid confusion later on
i.e. washing up liquid in a washing up liquid bottle!

When buying anything by weight in our store, a label is always supplied, so we suggest you keep this label on any bottle you fill up.
